"I believe we have a choice in this world on how to tell sad stories"- Hazel Grace
The Fault in Our Stars...wow, where do I even start?
This book is about a 16 year old, Hazel who has been diagnosed with Thyroid cancer. She is on experimental tumour shrinking medication and has been told that she is depressed so is made to go to a cancer support group. Along the way she makes friends, finds love and goes on an unforgettable trip to meet her favourite author. However very quickly her whole life crumbles and changes forever. This novel takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions. It is filled with witty humour, young love and the unfortunate truths of cancer.
This book is by far my favourite of the year.
It makes you laugh, cry and come back to see what happens next. This book was written so well and I truely commend John Green for writing such a true and honest book which greatly touched everyones hearts.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves romantic novels however I need to warn you that it can be a bit descriptive at times, describing what it is really like to live with cancer and the fears of death. Therefore I would recommend it to more mature young reader (14 and above).
I highly recommend this book and if it is your type of genre you will not regret it!
This book has being made into a movie, however you have to read the novel first!
